Pomegranate Still Life, Tutorial Video

A new still life tutorial is here! This one went rather smoothly. I set out to get clean edges from the start, so as to get a more or less finished look from the first brush strokes. Also varied the medium and painting surface slightly. Brief features:

  • 12 1/2 hour Full painting from start to end, nothing left out
  • Palette visible in full view
  • No sound but english comments in subtitles
  • Improved video quality (less blocky than previous movie)
  • Topics touched upon: new stand oil based medium, easel ligting, realism enhancing edge work, and more..

Price: 10 Euro, payment via PayPal / Credit Card
You will receive the download link in your mail a few minutes after the payment is completed.

Pomegranate Movie format: Avi/Mpeg4. Size: 2GB, 12.5 hours. Playable on Win/Mac/linux with VLC Player. For problems/questions: please leave your comments on the blog !

    1. hello Jesus, It sounds that your download interrupted half way. If you are on an instable connection, please use a 'Download Manager'. This is a program that can restart a broken download at the last position in the file. See for instance www.flashget.com . Pls let me know if this works. If you get the entire file, playing with vlc should be no problem..........

  3. Really nice demo Jos.
If your planning to do a future demo maybe it's possible to supply a picture of the finished painting and a text-file with the text-notes you put under the video? That way when people want to reread one of your remarks they don't have to scroll through the whole video. Just a suggestion. I learnt a lot from this.

  4. hello Erik, I hope you like the demo and have some benefit from it. Yes that sounds like good idea. When I supply the text file (a subtitle file '.srt') one can also make a translation via goole.translate.

  8. Hi: just purchased both the eggs and pomegranate videos. The download for pomegranate got interrupted twice and I couldn't return to the download page. Would you be kind enough to send the links directly to my email? This worked before when I had trouble downloading the clementines video. Sorry for any inconvenience and I appreciate your assistance. Thanks, Laurel

  10. This is very usefull for the beginers like me. All the beginers should visit the oil painting. I learn many things from the oil painting in Singapore .So visit that and get more knowledge about the oil paintings and their techniques. So try to visit it and improve your knowledge.
